Adair (Black Magic, 2010) christens her new action-adventure series about three brothers' Caribbean treasure-hunting business with the story of the youngest brother's efforts to search a fully loaded Dutch pirate ship that sank in the 1600s. When his mechanic is diagnosed with cancer, Zane Cutter hires the man's daughter, Teal, a childhood friend, as a mechanic and diver. Although Teal thinks he's Mr. Love 'Em and Leave 'Em after an earlier one-night stand with him, she agrees to help explore the wreck. The hunt isn't easy, however, as Zane's boat is sabotaged, and the artifacts they retrieve are stolen. Things go from bad to worse when a hurricane hits, causing a small plane to crash into the dive site. With the feds and bad guys swarming, Zane and Teal scramble to save their lives and the lives of Zane's crew, eventually realizing how compatible they are and how much they love each other.
