Summary:
The four Pevensie children have returned to their rather ordinary lives in World War II-era London, a significant adjustment after having spent time as royalty in Narnia. Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy are waiting on the tube to return to school, when they are whisked off to a gorgeous beach they soon recognize as Narnia. But this isn't the same Narnia as before -- 1,300 years have passed, the country's golden age is over, and most of their old friends are gone. Narnia is now a troubled land ruled by the Telmarines, led by evil Lord Miraz. Their mission is to help Prince Caspian, the rightful heir to Narnia's throne, regain the kingdom. In this they are aided by new friends, among them a heroic mouse called Reepicheep and a surly, red-bearded dwarf named Trumpkin, a fierce fighter whose gruff temperament masks a soft and loyal heart.
