If you've ever found yourself wanting an Ocean's Eleven-style caper, but with more ghosts, ghouls, and gore, then Ghosted is a dream come true. Just busted out of prison, silver-tongued con man Jackson T. Winters can win permanent freedom if he can deliver a free-floating, full-torso, vaporous apparition to a filthy-rich collector. A suit, a shave, and one fantastic heist-crew-assembly montage later, Winters discovers that the old collector might have ulterior motives in sending him and his team to the old manor to find a ghost. Williamson has developed a page-turner of a concept, and this first trade begs readers to stay around for more character development among his crew. The story flows cinematically, skipping over character motives and tucking them away for later exploration, which only underscores the tension and raises the stakes. Sudzuka's traditional figures and Mrva's saturated palette fittingly hearken back to adventure comics in style and panel layout. This new spin on a heist story belongs on the shelf next to anything by Ed Brubaker, particularly Fatale or Criminal.--Spanner, Ben Copyright 2014 Booklist
